Get Back on Track // Oatmeal Waffles

One of my new years resolutions is to be a healthy role model.  With two small children at home who are developing their eating habits, it is important for me to make healthy choices and encourage my children to do the same.  MyPlate recommends the following tips on being a healthy role model:

  • Show by example.  Fruit Salad
  • Go shopping together.
  • Get Creative in the Kitchen.
  • Offer the same foods to everyone.
  • Reward with attention, not food.
  • Focus on each other at the table.
  • Listen to your child.
  • Limit screen time.
  • Encourage physical activity.
  • Be a good food role model.
