This week’s goal from our 52-week challenge to create better health is to make and use homemade seasonings and spices. Doing so can save you money and greatly reduce your sodium, or salt intake.
As you may know, too much sodium puts you at risk for developing high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. We have a great post introducing tips to halt the salt. You can find the full post by clicking here. One easy tip is to avoid using salt as your seasoning. You can do this by making your own low-sodium or sodium free seasoning blends at home. It is simple and easy to do! Check out the recipes below, pick your favorites, and make up a batch or two.
