When you find yourself deep in the craving zone, try making up a batch of Apple Donuts. No cooking required!Start out by using an apple corer to core your apples. If you don’t have a apple corer, get creative and see what else in your kitchen might work. I used a tool from my kids’ play dough set! (If all else fails, slice your apples first and then use a knife to cut out the core of the apple). Next, slice your apples about 1/4″ thick. Spread your desired flavor of cream cheese on each apple. You can mix food coloring with plain cream cheese to make them more colorful. Last, add a few candy sprinkles to finish off your masterpiece. If you want to avoid the sugar, try toping them with sliced almonds, raisins, or other dried fruit. Enjoy!
